The Institute for International, Global and Regional Studies (IIGaRS) is a research network at UCI associated with International Studies and housed in the School of Social Sciences. IIGaRS reaches out across campus to cultivate connections among the wide array of UCI centers, institutes and departments with research interests that traverse geographical, political, and disciplinary boundaries.
At UCI, numerous faculty members from Social Sciences, Humanities, Social Ecology, Business, Arts, Public Health, Law, Medicine, Information and Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences, and beyond have research interests in international, global and regional affairs. Our expertise makes UCI one of the leading, globally-oriented educational institutions in the world. Given these extensive multidisciplinary resources, IIGaRS works to publicize events and enrich collaboration among existing campus units, bringing together faculty, students, and the wider community to address the critical global issues of today.
